Plastic Reduction at a Popular Restaurant

Introduction

We consulted a popular restaurant in town who was looking for options to reduce their plastic usage to become more sustainable. They replaced all their takeaway boxes with compostable bagasse based boxes. Plastic cutlery and bottles with compostable ones and glass bottle. Replaced Plastic products in house with non-plastic alternatives and paper straws instead of plastic ones

Results & Inferences

Thought a lot was considered , it is hard to ensure the entire food chain to be clean especially at the sourcing level. Also price of alternatives are not cheap and are generally more expensive
